Here is a collection of memorabilia from some members of the class of 1971. Select a tab in the left column to browse items from that contributor. If you have any items you would like to share, please contact the webmaster at the email address at the bottom of the page. Enjoy this trip down memory lane!

Brad had a wealth of accumulated memorabilia. I have divided it into several categories to make it a little easier to navigate. Click on the tabs below to choose a section and then click on an image to browse.

At our 35th reunion Ann Spooner was kind enough to let me borrow her scrapbook and many of her pictures appear both here and on other pages of the site. Some of the pictures are unidentified and if you recognize who they are please let me know at the address at the bottom of the page. I have divided her photos into several categories to make them a little easier to navigate through. Click on the tabs below to select a section and then click on an image to browse.

After the 50th reunion, Sue and Sally loaned me a huge box of memorabilia, including an almost complete collection of class newspapers. I have divided it into several categories to make it a little easier to navigate. Click on the tabs below to choose a section and then click on an image to browse.

Here are two of the Junior Highway newspapers from 7th grade, issues one and three according to the masthead. These were oversize (tabloid-style) and had to be scanned in sections and joined. If anyone has a copy of the second issue please let me know using the email link at the bottom of the page.

Here are all 5 issues of our 8th grade Junior Highway newspaper. This year it was a normal 8½ x 11 format. I believe the masthead on the last issue is incorrect and it should be volume 32 like the rest. Also in the last issue, the final 3 pages include “prophecies” of our ultimate careers. Did you become what was predicted?

Here are three issues of out 9th grade Orange & Black – Volume 54 Numbers one, two and three – plus a “Sports Extra” with no masthead which I believe would count as issue number four. There is also a single page flyer for an October senior carnival.

Here are five of the six issues of the Orange & Black from our sophomore year. If anyone has a copy of the Volume 55 Number 5 issue please let me know using the email address at the bottom of the page.

Here are a few of our junior year Orange & Black newspapers. Included are Volume 56 Numbers two, three, and five plus special extra editions for the production of Anne Frank and for Christmas. If anyone has copies of issues one or four please let me know using the email address at the bottom of the page.

Here are all seven issues of the Orange & Black from our senior year plus extra issues for the production of Old Town, Easter, and the end of April.

Dimensions was the school literary publication, published once per year. Submissions of poems, short stories, and commentary were welcomed from students of all classes. Here is the First Edition.

Here are programs for drama performances from 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. Each year had a fall program scheduled for just before Thanksgiving. In eighth grade there were two spring shows, while the other four years only had one (unless there are programs missing.) Some of the programs did not have a year but I was able to find references in the Orange & Black to properly date them. There is one program, “The Phoenix,” with no date on it at all and I could not find it mentioned in any of the Orange & Black issues that I have. Based on the names I am assuming that it was a second senior year spring program but if someone can provide an actual date it would be much appreciated. Please send it to the email address at the bottom of the page. All of the programs are in date order. Enjoy!

Here is a 1968 football program from our sophomore year. The ads are almost as interesting as the actual game information. How many of those businesses do you remember and how many are still in existence?

Here are a couple of miscellaneous items that didn’t fit into any of the other categories. The first is the program (and ticket stub) from a performance by Count Basie at the Hanover High School on Wednesday, March 1, 1967. The second is the program from the dedication of the Hanover High School organ on April 26, 1971.

Sue and Sally not had only lots of class memorabilia, they also had several items of interest that were not directly related to our class. I have put them here to keep them separate. Click on the tabs below to choose a section and then click on an image to browse.

Here is the dedication program for the new high school from November 15, 1964. After the new school officially opened, the former Eichelberger Senior High School became the Junior High School.

Here is the program for the Sheppard-Myers dedication game between the Hanover NightHawks and the Delone Squires on September 16, 1949.

Here is a commemorative booklet and program for the 100th anniversary celebration for the Hanover school system. It includes a very nice chronology of Hanover’s education and schools beginning with the first public school in 1836.

Here is the Eichelberger Senior High School Handbook from 1942. It’s a fascinating read and very different than either ours or today’s version.

Some of you may remember that I did some printing during high school. Here are some school related items from my personal collection.
